The library will be trialling World News Connection until the 28th of September.

Compiled from thousands of worldwide media sources, the information in World News Connection covers significant socioeconomic, political, scientific, technical, environmental issues and current events throughout the world. Updated daily, WNC offers an extensive array of translated and English-language news and information.

The Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) Daily Reports, 1941 - 1996 is also being trialled until the 4th of October.

The FBIS Daily Reports has been the United States' principal historical record of political open source intelligence for more than half a century. The original mission of the FBIS was to monitor, record, transcribe and translate intercepted radio broadcasts from foreign governments, official news services, and clandestine broadcasts from occupied territories.  The FBIS Daily Reports are a source of information from all countries outside of the US – from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.

Any feedback about WNC or FBIS is welcome, please fill in the Electronic Resources Evaluation form or contact Jessie Donaghey, the Faculty Librarian for HSS.
