Main Library re-opens doors to universal acclaim

After many months of anticipation (and more on the part of many Information Services staff) Bond staff and students finally got to see the inside of their newly refurbished Main Library on Tuesday morning. We celebrated the occasion with a Welcome Morning Tea (co-sponsored by Accommodation & Food & Beverage) that was enjoyed by a record number of guests who also got to appreciate the cutting edge design of the new learning spaces and technologies for the first time.

The Director of Information Services, Dr. Grace Saw gave a short speech of welcome and the Dean of HSS & P.V.C. Prof Raoul Mortley announced the winners of the “name the Library cafe competition”, who were presented with a hamper of goodies kindly donated by Accommodation & Food & Beverage. Allan Stirling and Shannon Gregor were joint winners of the competition and the new cafe, Papyrus, was a success from the minute the doors to the Library opened.
