What's new in Semester 2 - changes in Information Services

If you're a continuing student, you just might notice a few changes when you get back on campus for 092, particularly when you're heading to the Main Library or looking for some computing or AV help from Information Services.

If you're a new student, you probably won't notice the changes, but this information will be nonetheless useful.

So what's new in Semester 2?

Well, the Main Library has relocated a lot of its services and facilities. If you head to where the Library entrance used to be, you will be confronted with a building site. The builders are now busily refurbishing what used to be Level 2 of the Main Library, and will be doing so throughout 092. To get in to the Library, just head up the hill between the Business building and the new Library extension and turn left at the top of the slope.

Turn left before you run into this!

You will come across another significant change just inside the new Library entrance; our new Integrated Service Desk. The Integrated Service Desk is now your one-stop-shop for library, computing, and audiovisual information and support. So as well as Library enquiries about things such as borrowing, or researching information, this is now the place you can get computing help, for things like wireless access, and password/account enquiries. Please note that the Service Desk which used to be located on Level 1 near the Computing Labs is now closed; just come and see us at the Integrated Service Desk and we'll help you out.

That's about it. Oh, and the library does still have books. A little exploring and you'll quickly familiarise yourself with the whereabouts of the different services, but if you head right to the back of new extension you'll find the doorway that leads on to the books, quiet study areas, and from there the print journals and group study rooms on Level 4.

Just ask at the Integrated Service Desk if you have any questions!
