The Multimedia Learning Centre

Have you visited Bond University’s unique state of the art learning environment?

The fully wireless Multimedia Learning Centre (MLC) has many attractions for today’s technology savvy student with its choice of collaborative and interactive learning zones, banks of pristine computers with 20” widescreen monitors and a curved laptop bar that evokes the ambience of a club lounge.

The stimulating atmosphere of the MLC includes spectacular views of the campus lake and fountain, a provocative digital art exhibition on three screens, colourful mood lighting, moveable furnishings and a staffed Information Kiosk for assistance with information needs, technical advice and the borrowing of wireless devices for use in the centre.

This extraordinary space belongs to all Bond University students.

Tell us about your experience of the MLC . . .

  1. Hey
is there any way to get the sensor turned off in the CLR as everytime you move it turns on and wrecks your game....er.... presentation....... and also some ps3 games would be nice or maybe just some bacwards compatibality with the current ps3's

  2. To mustang009,
Thankyou for your comments, we are currently looking into the issue you reported with the lights. One suggestion is to set the lights to DIM then the lights stay on at that level. The Library is also currently ordering new titles for the game consoles. Keep an eye out in the Main Library for these.

I hope other students will respect the space - i saw someone eating noodle box noodles in there - nobody needs hoisin sauce on the new keyboards!

  5. Can we get a colour printer in the MLC

  6. Thanks – that is a good suggestion and we will certainly consider it as it would make the colour printer accessible over longer hours than is currently the case with its location in the Main Library.
